First day of school!

So yesterday was the first day of school here in Menasha! Brady started kindergarten this year and Alanis is in 5th grade! Since we have kept Alanis in her old school since we moved (we no longer live in that 'zoned area' for her school, her and Brady are in 2 different schools. I'm really thinking that's a great thing! I mean, Alanis loves her brother but as much as she picks on him, I don't think she would defend him if someone was being mean! Heck she would probably join in the torture!! So anyway, you would have thought it was Christmas morning or something yesterday! Alanis was in our room at 5:30 telling Jeff she needed me to get up so I could do her hair! Jeff told her to go back to bed! He said both her and Brady were already dressed! It didn't really go that way this morning, neither of them were real excited to get out of bed!

Alanis is in class with one of her best friends this year, that could be trouble! I have already told them both that if we have any bad grades I will have them put in different classes! Alanis said that she promises she will have great grades all year! When I got home from work last night she was all excited and said she wanted to go back to school!

Brady had a pretty good day too. For the first and second days they are only having half days of school. Yesterday Jeff actually had to go to school with Brady! He was upset though during the art projects, because Brady wanted to do them all! He said he finally took the scissors from Brady so he could cut out some hands!

So that's how the first day of school went, so far no one is complaining, could be different by the time I get home!
